Festival of Trees
Custer State Park Visitor Center
Thanksgiving through December, 2025

HAHA will have a tree on display at Custer State Park Visitor Center, with a theme of rural schools of yesterday. Stop by to enjoy all the trees and vote for your favorite. Take a photo of the HAHA tree with your family and friends, send it to us, and we'll post it on our Facebook page and this website.

HAHA Christmas Carnival
Sunday, December 7, 2025
10 am to 2 pm (games end 1 pm)
Hermosa Public School Gym

Bring your family and friends to enjoy this annual Hermosa Community "fun-raiser." We will have soups, bread from Texas Roadhouse, and desserts for a free-will donation. Santa and Mrs. Santa will join us (hours to be announced). Bring the kids to chat with Santa and get photos worthy of your next Christmas card. Games will run from 10 am to 1 pm. Kids can win tokens to be spent at the Santa Store. Browse the large craft fair for gifts, decorations, jewelry, art, and more.
Next Member Meeting
6:30 pm - Tuesday, November 18, 2025

HAHA Museum
Second and Main Street, Hermosa SD
next to the Post Office on Hwy 40

Usually we meet the second Tuesday, but in November some HAHA members are busy elsewhere that evening so we will delay by a week. If you're at all interested in what HAHA will be doing this fall and winter, and would like to volunteer all year or just occasionally, we welcome you to join us.

Stop in and see the Museum renovations, sign up to help with our monthly events and our weekly Museum hours (through the summer months) and have some fun. Our name is HAHA by choice.

Generally we meet the second Tuesday of the month, but please check here or on our HAHA Facebook page to verify the date, time, and location of the member meetings.

Hermosa Arts & History Association (HAHA), organized in 1999, seeks to preserve our local history; educate our youth; promote visual, written, and performing arts in Hermosa; and involve the community in all of these efforts.

We strive to bring together residents of the greater Hermosa area to create a cohesive community based on our appreciation for each other's unique experiences, cultures, traditions, and histories -- and our common humanity.

We are an all-volunteer organization with many active members who live in, or have ties to, Hermosa and eastern Custer County, South Dakota.

As you can tell from our acronym we also have a lot of fun.
